Here is some of the information relating to the Daresbury Parish Plan
The Parish Plan was launched on 18th April 2007 in Daresbury Parish Room. It was encouraging to see the number of residents who came. The launch was also attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Halton, local councillors, officers of Halton Borough Council, and representatives from Moore, the Hatton Show Society and the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. We also received encouraging messages of support from other organisations that may be able to help with the plan's implementation. The Parish Plan is based on the results of a questionnaire that was delivered to every resident in 2006. The raw summary of replies is available as a snapshot report or a printable version.
Four community action groups have been established to take forward points from the action plan.
The Natural Environment Action Group had its first meeting on 14th June 2007, followed by a visit to the site of a possible new nature reserve in the parish. The second meeting was on 19th July 2007, the third meeting was on 16th August 2007, the fourth meeting was on 1st October 2007, and the fifth meeting was on 10th December 2007.
Rather than producing our own guide to wildlife gardening, we decided to look for information published elsewhere. So far, we have the following list.
The Services and Local Improvements Action Group has had its first meeting on 3rd July 2007.
The Community Activities and Communication Action Group is expected to meet shortly.
The Parish Room Action Group will meet as soon as the lease has been signed between the landowners and the Church to enable the rooms to be used for community use again.
